Exist any future development to implement pwrapper with ice (xsi7)?

Check that fluid simulations (SPH) that the xsi users are creating:

http://www.vimeo.com/2766077

From now the first version of ice only had the "Blob" node to made the "metaballs" for the geometry, pwrapper node will be perfect!!

Thanks

Hi!

First of all let me tell you that I am very happy that you are bringing this simple but highly effective tool to XSI finally!

Ok, I installed pWrapper demo on my XSI 7 64bit.
1- I created a particle emission from surface in ICE
2- I selected the pointCloud and clicked the pwrapperdemoOp button.

I noticed that pwrapper created a cloud that is from the OLD xsi particles. Is this normal?
Also the resolution is completly off. I mean I don't get 1 to 1 particles. I get way less particles than what I really have with my ICE emission.

Is this a typo in the pwrapper property page? It says ''Swrap'' but in MAX this parameter is called Shrinkage.

Thank you for porting pwrapper to XSI and I hope we can help you iron out the bug and make this addon worth gold! Wink

Hi, me again,
Just making sure, is your plan to match all the features from pWrapper in MAX?
Thanks

Hi,

A new DEMO version of pwrapper for XSI has been released right now .
It accepts also ICE particles.

One pwrapper license will be also valid to work with 3dsMax and Maya

Quoted from the Softimage list.

---------------------------------------------

yep, 368 points to make up the watermark. I would email them straight away.

Has anyone else noticed that the licensed (non demo) pwrapper generates a bunch of garbage points at world zero? I'm under suspicion that they are collapsing the watermark geo from the demo to that location.

Basically what this means is that the mesh it generates is junk and will slowly kill your inner child the more you get down the production pipe Smiley

There seem to be 368 points at zero but I don't have a demo copy here to test against. If someone is willing, would you mind testing with a demo copy of pwrapper. Just create a mesh with it and tag the points that make up that stupid watermark. Show selected info in viewport.

If not, just take it as a warning I guess.
